One worry and hesitation that I have when posting a write-up on this blog is that readers won’t get anything – a point, a learning, a realization, a wisdom – from my writing. Non-sensical, worthless and throwaway posts already abound in social media. Lots of it can actually be seen on Instagram and watched on YouTube (in the form of absurd senseless vlog posts).
But let me be brazen this time by posting a short ridiculous clip of my cooking a chicken adobo, the national dish of the Philippines.
I have posted in the past my first-time cooking of a pork adobo (tagged as New York Style Pork Adobo) so let me then include my experience on my first cooking the poultry version of it.
Pointless as it may seem, this Chicken Adobo clip actually garnered 52 likes and 195 views in my Instagram. And by the way, my average Instagram likes is only 21.
It looks good right? It tastes awesome too! Anyway, thanks for reading this nonsense of a write up and I hope you encounter in one way or another some pretty good amount of light bulb moments in the course of the day.
How would you feel seeing your baby photos on Youtube? That is what I thought of while I was uploading a collage of Arziolo’s photo on Youtube. I hope that this baby would be glad in case he sees this when he grows up or he can always just press “report” and relay his reason for flagging this video.
Arziolo is Nengkoy’s great-grandson by the way… These photos are too cute not to share for everybody’s viewing pleasure!
According to Kurt Vonnegut, “bizarre travel plans are dancing lessons from God”.
This is exactly what I, JB and MJ underwent. We initially planned and agreed to go hiking on a mountain and a nature reserve east of Metro Manila. But when all plans has been ironed out and only a couple of days left prior to leaving, we suddenly changed our mind. We simply agreed to scratch the plan and instead proceed at the heavenly Villa Escudero, some 2 hours travel south of Metro Manila.
And unlike the previous 2-hour travel adventures that we had in the past in which we would either rent a private van or drive our own car, we used the public transport. We simply commuted from Manila to Quezon via passenger bus and the ever reliable tricycle. One bizarre mode of travel for us yet surprisingly comfortable!
I am glad to have changed our plans. Villa Escudero has remained an amazing Filipino destination! In summary, this is how fun we had in this beautiful place…
you can never go wrong with this beautiful philippine destination
Hey! Look and listen to who I discovered! His name is Wrabel. I don’t know if he’s an indie or a mainstream artist. And I have yet to look and listen into his body of work. But one thing is for sure… I love his single entitled “11 Blocks”
I peeped into Wrabel’s Facebook and found this poignant and soulful expression on his page…
tonite i quite literally set the past on fire.
ready to move on.
ready for change.
ready for new.
ready to leave for this tour and ready to share these songs and these stories and my head and my heart with whoever will listen.
hehe this is a bit dramatic.
but sometimes it just has to be
Listen to 11 Blocks before everybody is singing it and before this song blows out of proportion. I really like this and I hope you do too…
I love American TV show awards night. Aside from awaiting the exciting announcement of winners and listening to heart-melting speeches, what I look forward to American TV show awards night is the opening number. Opening numbers has always been one highlight dynamite.
This year’s Oscars is no different. Just look at those visual effects! It’s freaking amazing! It actually even became more special because it is hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. My most favourite awards ceremony show host on the face of the earth.
And here’s the reason why David Burtka is the luckiest man alive!

Being a true blue self-imposed fellow of the Dami Army, I waited for this music video like a Gladiator. Now that it is finally released, the coming nights now seems brighter, my glass of sour wine now tastes better and the constant pit of fury in my gut now subsides.
Dami is one truly amazing talent. Another incredible song with a perfectly fitting and visually stunning music video!
