Let me be a little materialistic today! My avaricious stance at the moment is caused by the airline who texted me that my October 29 flight to Japan has been cancelled. And since I cannot take a trip to magnificent Osaka, I let bits and pieces of Osaka take a journey to me.
I have just received the package full of Japanese stuffs I ordered from my Japan-based niece! Yihee! These are the cheap Japanese junks, the absurd Nippon messes and the silly Japanophile stuffs I would have purchased in Osaka if my trip pushed through. Please excuse me but ordering and receiving these stuffs are my coping mechanisms in expunging my extreme frustration when I learned about the cancellation.
Let me then I agree if you find me so worldly and so twisted in this circumstance. Got to go! I need to do my airline refund! Haha!
A goof idea to celebrate with your selection of goodies from Japan. Good luck with the refund.

I was just debating a trip over to Torrance/Gardena (roughly 10 miles) for instant yakisoba and refrigerated ramen noodles.
Glad you got a taste of Japan and I hope you can visit soon!

None of which are from Daiso… these were the usual stuff found in 3Coins and Tamade. Though I love Daiso too! 🎋

Beautifully thought of and written. Enjoyed the emotions and could understand your mental situation being unable to go for the trip.

I miss Japan! We went to a Ramen restaurant last Saturday, but it wasn’t the same what we tried in Tokyo.
Good luck with your refund and stay safe!

You’re comment made me crave for Zonduya Ramen in Osaka. They got the best ramen in that part of Japan.
Really hoping for a full refund. 🤞

If you can’t go to Japan, you bring Japan to you… kind of. I like it! Fingers crossed, it won’t be too long until you can go off on your travels! I’ve never been to Japan, but it’s certainly on the list.

Cherry blossom time in Japan is Japan at its best. Sitting in recreation areas with all those families just enjoying nature and the beauty of it all is the highest experience one can have.

Hanami is how they call it (picnic under the cherryblossom trees). 😉

Japan is awesome. This seems a good solution for a cancelled trip. Hope you get to go in the future.
